With Friedberg’s escapist blend of post-punk, alt-rock and seductive pop songwriting, Friedberg’s sound is made for a night out. Friedberg and the incredibly diverse music is the result of different cities, different relationships, and a “how did I get here” career moment. Dora De Goederen, Tamara Leichtfried and Viktoria Kirner met at the Girls Rock Camp 2016, immediately hit it off and already in spring 2017 the first Dives record was completed. Dives’ music doesn’t get out of your head that quickly, because in addition to complex song structures and rhythms, their work is characterized by catchy basslines and harmonious guitar chords, a recipe for successful pop music. The Viennese trio’s chemistry is also evident on stage, the three of them harmonize wonderfully with each other, even though they have only known each other for such a short time and none of them has been playing their instrument for more than two years. Maybe that’s the reason for their so refreshing sound.
