LAPLAND SNOWMOBILE ADVENTURE
REINDEER, MOOSE, AND FRESH POWDER – that is Swedenʼs Lappland in January. Petrolettes will be hopping on snowmobiles this season – for a unique adventure through magical landscapes under the northern lights. You will learn snowmobile handling with a SKI-DOO RENEGADE SPORT 600, experience unforgettable, adrenaline packed snow safaris and return happy and exhausted for a sauna in our cozy 3-star hotel at the end of the day.

Petrolettes WILD SNOW will take you through Europe's last wilderness! You will learn to ride a snowmobile and enjoy adrenaline packed tours through beautiful and unique landscapes. THE WILDERNESS
ARVIDSJAUR, Lapland, Sweden
The unspoiled nature and unique fauna earned Lapland it's well-deserved nickname as "Europe's last wilderness".
Endless untouched landscapes roamed by moose and reindeer, frozen lakes and snow covered woods as far as the eye can see surround ARVISDJAUR, our home base on this trip. The small town with its 4,600 inhabitants is situated in between 4000 lakes and only 100 kilometers south of the polar circle.
In the old town you can still see the wooden cabins of the indigenous SAMI and learn more about their rich heritage.
With temperatures as low as -15°C LAPLAND is cold in winter! However, the low air humidity makes it feel warmer, and the glittering light reflection on snow and ice make the short days feel bright and cozy. The region is also famous for spotting the AURORA BOREALIS, the NORTHERN LIGHTS. Winter is the perfect time experience this unique wonder of nature. Our trip includes a special to catch the polar lights while speeding through the snowy wonderland!
YOUR STAY
HOTEL LAPONIA, ARVIDSJAUR
You will stay in HOTEL LAPONIA, the biggest hotel in Arvidsjaur. The hotel features 200 fully renovated rooms with cozy Scandinavian decor for a homey feel on your trip.
The hotel restaurant is famous for its food, and happy to cater to vegetarians and vegans. The spa area offers an indoor-pool and a sauna, and if you want to relax even further, you can book massages or beauty treatments. Bathrobes and towels can be rented at the reception. For those who cant get enough of adventure, the hotel offers skis and paddle boats and all necessary equipment for rent.
Whether you travel by yourself or bring a friend (or don't mind company) you can choose between a double room (included) or book an upgrade to a single room.
All rooms are equipped with an ensuite bathroom, WIFI, blow-dryer, cable TV, phone, fridge and kettle.
THE RIDE
ABOUT SNOWMOBILING
We will take the snowmobiles and go on FIVE SNOW SAFARIS through Europe's last wilderness. Drift on adventurous trails through a unique landscape, over frozen lakes, all through untouched white powder!
Our local partners have over 40 years of experience in snowmobiling and have the best SKI-DOO SNOWMOBILES for beginners and pros on site.
If you come from motorcycling, the snowmobile might feel a bit big and stiff at first, but you will quickly get the hang of it and enjoy gliding like a pro! Our professional guides will instruct you how to handle the snowmobile and be on your side to assist you at any time. You don't need experience in any sport to join this trip!
Included in your trip is the rental of a SKI-DOO RENEGADE with 60 PS. If you like to go wild, book an upgrade to the SKI-DOO SUMMIT with 120 PS. Also included is your rental gear of a thermal overall, helmets, boots, gloves and your own ski-mask.

Our WILD SNOW trip is open to everyone! Petrolettes’ focus is on inclusivity and equity, we aim to encourage female and non-binary people to join the exciting world of motorsports, adrenaline and adventure. However, this trip will be CO-ED, so if you want to bring your male friend, boyfriend/husband, you are welcome to. Our focus is on keeping the travel group respectful and balanced, and with the Petrolettes COMMUNITY you can be sure to travel with mainly female and non-binary like-minded people!
Petrolettes is a COMMUNITY and our goal is to encourage womxn to go further. If you are a single traveler, you are especially encouraged to come and we guarantee you will make the best friends!

You don’t need snowmobile or motorcycle experience, or experience in any winter sports. There will be a theoretical and practical (but fun!) instruction on the first day, covering snowmobile safety and driving. All guides are professionally trained in helping you get the hang of it!
The trip includes a two hour starter tour for everyone, and five more snow mobile safaris in small groups, plenty of opportunity to become a pro snowmobile rider!

Yes, this trip will be open for men as well. Petrolettes focusses on inclusivity and equity, which means we especially encourage female and non-binary people to join us. However, this trip is open to everyone, so if you are a man, you are welcome to join us!

The easiest way to join this trip is to book our FULL PACKAGE, which includes a DIRECT CHARTER FLIGHT (+ RETURN) from either Stuttgart or Hannover, Germany. Since this is a CHARTER FLIGHT, there is no risk of sudden cancellation by airlines.
If this is not the option for you, you can choose to book your own transport. The closest Airport is ARVIDSJAUR. Pick-up from airport Arvidsjaur is possible, if you choose another airport, pick-up can be arranged (charges depending on the airport). Please contact us regarding.

You will stay at the beautiful Hotel Laponia in Arvidsjaur. Please be aware that regular booking is a DOUBLE ROOM. Rooms will be allocated by our local partners, of course you can share a room with your friend/preferred travel partner. Every room is equipped with ensuite bathroom, WIFI, TV, hair-dryer and kettle.
If you wish to have SINGLE ROOM, you are able to book this upgrade for 490 € for the trip.

Lapland has loads to offer. You can visit a HUSKY FARM, go ICE FISHING, take a SNOW SHOE HIKE or drift with a PORSCHE ON A FROZEN LAKE. We have planned a full trip for you, but you are free to book additional activities with our local partners. Check ARCTIC EARTH for more information on additional activities.
